  • Hello me and GouenjiShuuya'123 have come to a conclusion that that's not his alias but rather a traditional way of speaking for him so he added that trait to his personality. Can you please change it back to the way it was with just Asakusa's King of Destruction as his alias

  • Have you made any progress with the tabber in the templates? The English cover of the first volume is out. :)

  • I saw the news a while back, and it got me back onto the series after a brutal exam season. I was wondering if the wiki would be renaming to the reserved wikia w:c:fire-force or not, although Viz have yet to even put up a proper volume cover.

This is brilliant news for the series, but renaming would probably be a pain even with bots renaming links of the fansub title to the main series article. Though FBoF only started last year, most official translators work at a mellow pace a fraction faster than the Japanese.

I will also keep a second lookout on Kodansha Comics for any volume covers, English logos...and a font for the wiki wordmark. I'm too busy to join this wiki however :(

    • We already had a discussion on most of this. We decided to redirect fire-force here and keep the wiki named as "fire brigade of flames" to avoid any problems with external links. My bot was already used to update the fansub links, so don't worry about that ;)

    • That's good. It seems like the wiki got all got the corners covered and actually decided to flesh it out unlike most wikis that just instantly move or stay based on the main crat's call.

I'm not fully sure and that is no position to make a call or suggestion. But I think Google can possibly detect within a couple weeks that Wikia switched w:c:fire-force and w:c:fire-brigade-of-flames, giving the original ranking to the new site through 301.

I once had a page named "Ganpuku Gampuku", renamed because the official name was "眼福 Gampuku". Google ranked the redirect for two weeks thanks to a Reddit and Batoto backlink, before picking up that the page is indeed "Gampuku".

Two weeks is a long time for a website though, and I'm outta my depth here. What I'm not sure about is whether "8th Brigade Fire Brigade of Flames" will direct people to w:c:fire-force just as well. Testing the converse term gets the wiki #1,#2,#3.

And I'm getting a bit deep into this, suffice to say the current setup is okay imo.

PS: Thanks for creating Header.css, 10/10 improvement.

  • Figured i'd ask you because i just saw you on NP. I know your not familiar with the series, but can you drop you opinion on the Tokyo talk page discussion? To put it in terms you would understand. There's this Fire Temple located in the countryside in a unspecific place in the world. Also in this world is a industrial city called Amegakure.

Now here is the discussion. Even thought the geographical location of the Fire Temple doesn't match Amegakure in the slightest, a user is saying the temple must be in Amegakure because the author has only named/introduced 1 city in his universe & because of the temple has a connection within parts of this city.

    • That's not fanon, if anything that's applying basic logic; Same dialect and two of the known characters who work in Tokyo are from there. The Temple supervises a very important structure in the city too.

    • In relation to Ohkubo's elder work (namely Soul Eater), it's not foreign to suggest one one main location will be introduced and all of the main buildings will be centralised in one place, over five different countries alone were introduced; the same could happen in this series, but for now we only know of Tokyo and for all we know it could stay like that. If anything, Sajuuk's suggestion of adding it as trivia is the best option. Also, Omo, since I'm at school right now I can't do any major editing, but for gods sake please stop adding candidate deletion tags to articles just because "it's Saru's logic", it's stupid.

  • Why did you remove the tool collapsible tables from the templates? O.o You do know that we have people who fight exclusively with tools only (or people who use tools as their main source for combat), right?

    • It was removed per the compromise that was proposed by myself and supported by other users. Gou has no issue with it when I told him about it: if he did, I'm certain he would have mentioned it.

    • Now that I think about it, Omo kind of has a point though, with particular people only using tools. I think we shouldn't completely remove it, but just make it so that it doesn't have to be there, basically like the Technique parameter~

    • I'm fine with that. Gimme a minute and I'll restore with tweaks.

EDIT: The section is restored and can now be hidden with |hideto=true in a transclusion.

  • You said you didn't care about the thread nor the consensus in it at all? What's up with the sudden care?
This comes from the guy who wanted the wiki dead a few days prior? O.o Not trying to be rude or anything, just curious.
(Plus we both know why you locked down the templates before I got back; So that I wouldn't revert them back how they were supposed to be in the first place - Trust me, that's not my intention..)

    • Just because I said that I didn't care about the discussion doesn't mean that I can't make my opinion known. I simply felt it necessary to post because I agreed with another user. We're human beings, not robots: my opinion and stance can change whenever it feels necessary.

  • Just like we did with chapter pages, do you think it would be best to also get rid of the 0's with chapters 01-09 in references? I find it pretty unnecessary imo.
