This is a copy/paste of Forum:Migrating Forums so people are aware of what's happening.

I'm posting this topic to let people be aware that I am migrating the current threaded-style forums (at Special:Forum) over to wiki-style forums. The pretext for doing this is simple: those forums are very soon going to be converted to a system called /d (which is titled as "Discussions" across Wikia) and that system is horrible for having wiki-related discussions hosted on it.

By moving the important topics from the old forums here, we can preserve those important topics without losing history. It will take a little while and I'll be enlisting the assistance of the other sysops on this issue, as we'll only be preserving important and notable discussions. Additionally, we're not going to be preserving "non-wiki" related discussions (like the chapter discussions), those will be moved to /d.
